Can we create invoices in FreeAgent from HubSpot?
Yes, through HubSpot workflow actions. You can create and edit invoices, and add, edit or delete invoice items. All five actions are available on every plan, including Lite. Nothing is written to FreeAgent unless a workflow you build tells it to.
Do FreeAgent contacts become HubSpot companies or contacts?
You choose. FreeAgent contacts can sync to HubSpot companies or to HubSpot contacts, and their invoices are linked to them. The contact sync starts switched off, so you decide where they go before anything moves into HubSpot. You can also set exclusion rules to keep chosen records out.
What do we need to connect?
A FreeAgent login that can approve access to your account. You sign in to FreeAgent and approve OW Sync (OAuth), so you never share a password with us. OW Sync keeps the connection signed in for you, and connection details are stored encrypted.
Does it create custom objects in HubSpot?
No. OW Sync uses HubSpot’s standard objects: companies, contacts, invoices and line items. It adds its own properties to them, all starting with owsync_, so they are easy to spot and your existing HubSpot set-up, including your own properties, stays as it is.
How do we install the FreeAgent connector?
Choose Install on HubSpot, pick your HubSpot account and approve OW Sync’s access. OW Sync then asks for your contact and company details and takes you through connecting FreeAgent. Setup includes creating the HubSpot properties and checking the first sync with you.
When do syncs run?
Scheduled syncs run every working day between 07:00 and 19:00 UK time, as often as your plan allows. On Advanced, you can also switch on weekend syncs. Workflow actions run whenever your HubSpot workflow triggers them.
