Good to know
- Each connection covers one Xero organisation.
- Xero allows 60 requests a minute per organisation, so OW Sync paces its requests and waits when Xero asks it to.
- Nothing moves from HubSpot into Xero on a schedule; invoices go back through HubSpot workflow actions.

Fair questions
Can we create invoices in Xero from HubSpot?
Yes, through HubSpot workflow actions. You can create and edit invoices, and add, edit or delete invoice items. All five actions are available on every plan, including Lite. Nothing is written to Xero unless a workflow you build tells it to.
Do Xero contacts become HubSpot companies or contacts?
You choose. Xero contacts can sync to HubSpot companies or to HubSpot contacts. If you send them to companies, you can also bring in each Xero contact’s people as HubSpot contacts linked to that company. The contact sync starts switched off, so you decide before anything moves.
What do we need to connect?
A Xero login that can approve access to your organisation. You sign in to Xero and approve OW Sync (OAuth), so you never share a password with us. Each connection covers one Xero organisation, and connection details are stored encrypted.
Does it create custom objects in HubSpot?
No. OW Sync uses HubSpot’s standard objects: companies, contacts, invoices and line items. If you sync Xero bills, they go to a standard object you pick or a custom object you already have. OW Sync’s own properties all start with owsync_, so they are easy to spot.
How do we install the Xero connector?
Choose Install on HubSpot, pick your HubSpot account and approve OW Sync’s access. OW Sync then asks for your contact and company details and takes you through connecting Xero. Setup includes creating the HubSpot properties and checking the first sync with you.
When do syncs run?
Scheduled syncs run every working day between 07:00 and 19:00 UK time, as often as your plan allows. On Advanced, you can also switch on weekend syncs. Workflow actions run whenever your HubSpot workflow triggers them.
