How it connects

Cloud API: OW Sync connects directly to Sage 200 through Sage’s API.

What you need

Sign in with your Sage ID to approve access (OAuth). One sign-in can connect several Sage 200 companies.

Good to know

  • Scheduled sync into HubSpot is being switched on; today records move through HubSpot workflow actions.
  • Sage limits how many requests each company can make, so OW Sync waits and retries when it hits that limit.

Questions

Fair questions

Can we write back to Sage 200 from HubSpot?

Yes, through HubSpot workflow actions. Every plan can create and update customers and contacts. Standard and Advanced add products, sales quotes, sales orders, line items, invoices and payments. Nothing is written to Sage 200 unless a workflow you build tells it to.

Does Sage 200 data sync into HubSpot on a schedule?

Not yet. OW Sync already knows how to map Sage 200 customers, suppliers, contacts, products, quotes, orders and invoices to HubSpot, but the scheduled sync is still being switched on. Until then, records move between HubSpot and Sage 200 through the workflow actions.

What do we need to connect?

A Sage ID with access to your Sage 200 companies. You sign in to Sage and approve OW Sync’s access (OAuth), so you never share a password with us. One sign-in can connect several Sage 200 companies. Connection details are stored encrypted.

How do we install the Sage 200 connector?

Choose Install on HubSpot, pick your HubSpot account and approve OW Sync’s access. OW Sync then asks for your contact and company details and takes you through connecting Sage 200. Setup includes creating the HubSpot properties and checking the first sync with you.

When do syncs run?

Scheduled syncs run every working day between 07:00 and 19:00 UK time, as often as your plan allows. On Advanced, you can also switch on weekend syncs. Workflow actions run whenever your HubSpot workflow triggers them.

Who builds and supports OW Sync?

Cogent does. OW Sync is our own connector range, built and supported by our team in the UK. If you need more than the connector does out of the box, we can scope custom work or a full HubSpot project around it.
